Suitable Calculators

Note that you will NOT allowed to use a graphing calculator on the final exam. Good news though, a non-graphing calculator costs a lot less.

Several types of mathematicals models we will work with in this course will require 'scientific' calculations. In particular we will need:

• Powers and roots: x², √ or √x, x^y, and x^1/y (or possibly x√y)
• Logs and exponentials: log and ln, 10^x and e^x
• Trigonometric functions: sin, cos, tan, π
• Combinatorics functions: ! or x! or n!, nPr, nCr
